Comedian Eric Omondi has unveiled a new comedy academy aimed at mentoring 50 upcoming content creators from across the country.
The project will provide cameras, editing training and monthly paid gigs, with the first cohort drawn from Nairobi, Kisumu, Nakuru and Eldoret.
Speaking at the launch, Omondi said Kenyan comedy deserves structured support: "Talent pekee haitoshi. Lazima vijana wapate tools na mentorship."
Auditions open next Monday, with the final showcase set for the Kenya National Theatre.
