Faith Adhiambo, a student at Kitui Teachers College, is receiving treatment at Kitui Level 4 Hospital after she was seriously injured in an alleged violent confrontation with her boyfriend, a Junior Secondary School (JSS) teacher from Zambani, Kitui County.

Her alleged boyfriend, James Muthaka, was also injured during the incident and is admitted to the same hospital as doctors continue treating both of them.

According to reports, the incident followed a disagreement between the couple that allegedly escalated into violence, leaving Faith with serious injuries to her head.

Speaking to local media, Faith narrated the painful experience, explaining how events unfolded before she was injured. She claimed that her relationship with James took a dangerous turn following a disagreement that reportedly involved shoes.

Faith said she had left James's home in Zambani and travelled to Kitui town to have lunch. While at the hotel, she posted on social media as she enjoyed her meal.

However, James allegedly saw the post and decided to follow her to the hotel. He reportedly arrived a short time later, and the two eventually agreed to travel back home on a motorcycle so they could discuss their differences.

The journey back home did not go as expected. According to Faith's account, she slipped and fell as they approached the house. James allegedly stumbled over her and attempted to attack her, forcing boda boda riders to intervene.

The riders reportedly managed to control the situation, preventing the confrontation from escalating further at that moment.

After reaching home, Faith allegedly told James that she wanted to return to college. However, he reportedly refused to allow her to leave, creating further tension between the two.

The situation allegedly escalated the following day when another confrontation broke out.

Faith claimed that James hit her on the head, causing her to lose consciousness. She further alleged that he stabbed her several times on the head before turning the weapon on himself and stabbing himself in the stomach.

The injuries left both of them in need of urgent medical attention.

Faith said that after regaining consciousness, she questioned James about why he had allegedly attacked her. According to her account, he responded that he wanted both of them dead.

The statement, as narrated by Faith, has added to the disturbing nature of the incident, which left the college student and the JSS teacher hospitalised.

Both are currently receiving treatment at Kitui Level 4 Hospital as authorities seek to establish the full circumstances surrounding the confrontation.

The incident has raised concerns about domestic violence and the dangers of allowing disagreements between partners to escalate into physical attacks.

Further details about the incident, including the couple's current condition and any possible police action, have yet to be confirmed.
