A 25-year-old woman, Maryphine Osebe Ombato, is fighting for her life after she was stabbed four times by her husband, Wycliffe Arish Kabugi, during a domestic dispute in Kamae area, Kahawa West, Nairobi. Police said the incident occurred at around 1pm on Sunday following a relationship-related disagreement.
According to a police report, the woman was stabbed on the neck, under the chin, stomach and right side of the abdomen.
She was rushed to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH) by a good Samaritan and admitted to the ICU in critical condition.
The husband was attacked and seriously injured by a mob before police officers arrived and rescued him. He was also taken to KUTRRH, where he was admitted in critical condition.
