Gor Mahia edged arch-rivals AFC Leopards 2-1 in a pulsating Mashemeji Derby played at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, on Sunday evening.
Leopards took an early lead through a thunderous header in the 18th minute, sending the blue half of the stadium into delirium. But K'Ogalo responded with two second-half goals, including an 89th-minute winner that sparked wild celebrations.
Coach's tactical switch at half-time proved decisive, with the introduction of a pacy winger stretching the Leopards backline.
The win keeps Gor Mahia top of the FKF Premier League table, three points clear, with five matches to play. Leopards drop to sixth.
