Kenyan long-distance stars lit up the Berlin Marathon on Sunday, claiming two podium places in a dramatic finish.
The men's race came down to a final-kilometre sprint, with the Kenyan favourite settling for second just nine seconds outside the world record.
In the women's race, a debutant from Iten stunned the field to finish third in a personal best.
Athletics Kenya congratulated the team, saying focus now shifts to the World Championships trials in Nairobi.
