A Kenyan woman, Rachel Kerubo Orora, is searching for a doctor she says she will never forget after his kindness during her mother’s final days on Earth.
Six years ago, Rachel’s mother was in the High Dependency Unit at Kenyatta National Hospital during the final days of her life. Amid the pain and uncertainty, Rachel says Dr. John Ngigi stood by her family, answered their questions and explained her mother’s condition in a way they could understand.
What Rachel remembers most was not only his medical care, but the compassion he showed her family during one of the darkest moments of their lives. She says he made her feel that they were not alone.
Rachel believes Dr. Ngigi may not remember her, but she says she has never forgotten him. His kindness and dedication inspired her to become the kind of healthcare professional that patients and families can depend on when they are going through difficult moments.
Now, Rachel is hoping to find Dr. John Ngigi so she can personally thank him and give him his flowers while he is still here to receive them.
She is appealing to anyone who knows Dr. Ngigi to tag him or reach out to him and let him know that Rachel still remembers him and remains deeply grateful for the care and compassion he showed her family.
Please share this message widely and help Rachel reconnect with the doctor who made a lasting difference in her life.
