Rapper Octopizzo has announced a free mega concert in Kibera this December, promising surprise performances from local and international stars.
The "Namba Nane Festival" will take place at the Kibera grounds, with gates open to over 30,000 fans.
Speaking during a press briefing in Nairobi, the rapper said the concert is a give-back to the community that raised him, and will include a youth empowerment caravan offering free studio sessions.
Tickets for the VIP section will be released next week, with proceeds going to school fees for needy students in the area.
