US based Kenyan content creator Owen Githanga, popularly known as The Kenyan American Home, has finally been discharged from hospital after spending more than a week receiving treatment.
Githanga shared the encouraging update with his followers, saying he is now back home and ready to begin the next phase of his journey, recovery.
His hospital stay included several days in the intensive care unit after he was admitted with a serious illness that he said was linked to sepsis, kidney failure and injuries affecting his lungs and pancreas.
Doctors had reportedly warned him that sepsis could have taken his life within hours had he not received medical attention in time.
After days of treatment and a difficult battle for his health, Githanga is now focusing on regaining his strength and getting back to normal life.
The father of four had also appealed to Kenyans and well wishers for financial support as medical expenses and household bills continued to accumulate while he was unable to work.
