The passing of Chris Locholia, a gifted Pokot Gospel artist and servant of God, is a painful loss to the Pokot community and the Gospel fraternity across West Pokot.
For decades, Chris battled serious health challenges, including kidney failure and hypertension, yet his faith remained strong. Through his music, he preached more than religion—he spoke about God, leadership, equality, justice, and humanity.

His powerful song “Kimitoo Ng’olyon” carried a profound message about the Word of God and reminded us of the enduring power of faith.
As one of his devoted followers, I join the Gospel fraternity, his friends, colleagues, relatives, and the entire community in mourning this great son of Pokot.
And to his beloved wife, who stood faithfully beside him through the difficult journey until his final moments, may God give you strength and comfort. Your devotion and sacrifice will forever be remembered.
Chris may be gone, but his voice, his faith, and his message remain with us.
