Martha Karua Reveals Heartbreaking Final Moment With Father, Mwalimu Jackson Karua

Politician Martha Karua has shared a deeply emotional account of her final moments with her late father, Mwalimu Jackson Karua, just an hour before he passed away.

Speaking to mourners and supporters, Karua revealed that she had spent time with her father and formally bid him farewell before embarking on a journey to Nairobi. Shortly after departing, however, the family received the devastating call to turn back as he breathed his last.

“I was with him one hour before he passed. We actually said goodbye and started coming to Nairobi and were called to turn back when he breathed his last,” Karua shared, describing the sudden loss as a poignant moment of grace.

Reflecting on his advanced age, Karua expressed immense gratitude for the long and impactful life her father lived as an educator. She noted that while he was not suffering from a specific illness, his body was naturally growing weaker due to old age.

Leaders, friends, and well-wishers have continued to send messages of condolence to the family, with formal funeral arrangements expected to be announced in the coming days.
